Missionaries

James FloresMinistry: Campaigns

At 8 years of age my Sunday School teacher showed me in the Bible about the condition of sin and my need for Jesus. It was there that I accepted Him as my personal Savior. I grew up in a Christian home where the Bible was the authority and by God's grace, I've never strayed from that path. As I grew up, God began to place in me the desire to serve as a missionary. I came to know of BCM in 1996 through my brother Luis who was working with BCM. He quickly recruited me as a volunteer to work with Compartiendo (Pennies for Peru). I was also working at the Airport at Lima at this time, but every time I would go to these Compartiendo programs, I saw the need for Christ in the lives of all these children.

In 2001 I decided to study at IBYM, BCM Peru's Bible Institute leaving everything else behind, with the goal of preparing myself to become a missionary. Now I am seeing the vision God gave me being fulfilled in my life as I serve with the ministry of Campaigns, taking evangelistic events to different places throughout Peru in cooperation with local churches who invite us. We use dramas, mimes, evangelistic movies, children's programs, gospel clown, evangelistic sports outreaches, Vacation Bible School and the many other means for people to hear the gospel. We also hold open air campaigns in markets, plazas, and schools with special programs to share the gospel. It is an awesome privilege to be a part of this ministry serving the Lord in this way.

My future plans include serving as a missionary in the jungle if God permits.
